Mid-Century Reimagined
A 1963 residence in the heart of one of Houston’s premier urban neighborhoods was purchased by a young couple with children and dogs. The original design was admired for its novel indoor – outdoor living space made prominent with floor to ceiling windows. However, interior spatial relationships and space allotment no longer reflect the needs of today’s family. Respecting the client’s wish not to add superfluous footage, the same footprint was kept, with the interior deftly reconfigured to optimize circulation and storage, while preserving a seamless connection to the outdoor.
